ABOUT JORDAN
My name is Jordan Zylberberg and I am a Professional Engineer in Houston, Texas with Quiddity Engineering, LLC, specializing in wastewater facility design. I graduated in 2017 with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin Cockrell School of Engineering.
Bakari and I met in third grade when we had the same class; I had just moved from Argentina the year prior and my English still wasn’t very good, but he didn’t care about any of that. We quickly became friends and started playing soccer and basketball together. Our friendship continued to grow stronger over the years as we went through Hill Elementary School, Murchison Middle School, and Anderson High School.
When we all started college, we managed to not only maintain our friendship, but to strengthen it. As we became more independent, we started planning trips around the world. We had the wonderful experience of traveling Europe together during the summer going into our senior year of college. Those are incredible memories that I will always cherish
B and I always talked about the future- our strategies and aspirations. Admittedly, his were significantly more lofty than mine. Now it is our duty to carry out his legacy. Although I do not know everyone on this board, I know that the Henderson’s wouldn’t have chosen you unless you were incredible people.
My family was fortunate to be a Make a Wish participant several years ago when my younger brother was ill. When the Hendersons mentioned starting a foundation for grieving families, I knew the impact such a foundation could have. Through this foundation, we will be able to make positive impacts on the lives of those who have suffered. |
