​ABOUT JILL

​Advancing the dreams of her son Bakari, who was brutally murdered in Greece in 2017, Jill serves as CEO of Bakari Luxury Sportswear. She loves developing new relationships and is passionate about helping others. 

As an outreach to families who have lost loved ones through tragedy, she is the Founder and President of The Bakari Foundation which provides transformative travel experiences for families who have lost loved ones at the hands of another and youth empowerment for revitalizing distressed communities.

​Jill is also a Certified Christian Coach, Certified Youth Mental Health First Aider, Harvest Trauma Recovery Center Board Advisor and  Austin Chapter Co-coordinator of Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice where she spends time advocating for crime survivors, public policy, and community care initiatives. She is an author, public speaker, has made guest appearances on several podcasts and been a panelist discussing topics ranging from relationships to business. She also has opinion pieces published in the U.S. and Greece.

Prior to turning Bakari’s passions for world travel, leadership, and wealth creation into a gift of healing and cultural awareness, Jill was a Sr. Contracts Negotiator for 25 years with fortune 500 high-tech leaders Dell, HP, and Hitachi.

​​Jill resides in Austin, TX with her husband, Phil. They have two adult children, P.J. and Jory. Their sons Darrion and Bakari now both rest in peace with our heavenly Father.
