ABOUT PHIL
Phil is a Certified Life Coach and works with at-risk youth to help them achieve their academic, educational, and career goals. He is also a Division I NCAA Basketball Referee and has been refereeing at various levels for several years.
Advancing the dream of his son Bakari, Phil serves as the President of Bakari Luxury Sportswear (BLS). Before turning to his full-time passion of developing youth, Phil helped businesses develop intricate network architecture platforms while working in the telecom industry as an Account Executive at AT&T and SBC for 20 years.
Phil is an active member of his church and in the Austin Community where he coaches and mentors youth. He currently serves on the Board of the North Austin YMCA. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Jackson State University and a Data Technology Network Management Certification.
Phil is a native Texan and currently resides in Austin, TX with his wife, Jill. They have two adult children, P.J. and Jory. Their sons Darrion and Bakari now both rest in peace with our heavenly Father.
